Residential Insulation Program

Insulate today, save tomorrow

Tucson Electric Power offers residential customers a rebate up to $1,000 for the purchase and installation of attic/roof insulation at a residential premise when using a licensed insulation contractor. The rebate will be issued as a check within 6-8 weeks.

Installing new attic/roof insulation is one of the most significant ways you can make energy-saving improvements in your home. Insulation helps retain heat in the cooler months while preventing heat to enter your home during the Arizona summers.

Rebate Eligibility

To participate in the program, you must:

• Be a TEP residential customer.
• Install insulation at a residential home.
• Use an insulation contractor with a Residential Contractor License in the state of Arizona.
• Install accepted insulation (see application form).
• The residence must have insulation currently less than an existing R-19.
• Install new insulation greater than or equal to a total of R-38.
• Include the invoice for the work completed.
• Agree to the terms and conditions of the application, including inspection of work.

For Contractors: Application Process

1. Please download and complete the rebate Application Form.
2. Submit the completed and signed rebate Application Form to TEPtradeally@franklinenergy.com with the following:

• • Copy of the original invoice/receipt that includes pre and post R-values listed.
  • Photo documentation of pre-existing R-value taken next to a ruler.
  • Photo documentation of post installation R-value taken next to a ruler.
  • Send application with required attachments to TEPtradeally@franklinenergy.com, or submit electronically via the Contractor Portal.

If Rebate is transferred to the contractor, both customer and contractor must sign application.
