Susan Gray
President and Chief Executive Officer
Susan was named Chief Executive Officer of UNS Energy and its subsidiaries, including Tucson Electric Power and UniSource Energy Services, by the UNS Energy Board of Directors, effective January 1, 2021. Susan, the first woman to lead the company, has championed efforts to promote the engagement and achievement of women in the utility industry.
Susan, who had served as the company’s President and Chief Operating Officer, succeeds CEO David G. Hutchens, who was named President and Chief Executive Officer of Fortis Inc., UNS Energy’s parent company.
She began her career as a student intern at TEP in 1994. She was hired as system engineer in 1997 and advanced through several engineering and leadership roles before being named Vice President of Energy Delivery in 2015. She was promoted to Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer in 2019, and named President of UNS Energy in 2020.
Susan earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and an MBA from the University of Arizona, where she serves on advisory boards for the UA’s Eller Graduate School of Management and College of Engineering. The Chair of the economic development organization Sun Corridor, Susan also serves on the board of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Southern Arizona and is a member of the Southern Arizona Leadership Council.
Caleb Adcock
Vice President, Finance
Caleb came to TEP in 2015 as Manager of External Reporting. After expanding and strengthening that team, he became Director of Corporate Accounting in 2018 and was promoted last year to Senior Director of Budgeting and Planning. Before joining TEP, Caleb worked for six years in public accounting for a Las Vegas-based accounting firm before advancing to management roles at NV Energy and Tropicana Entertainment. He is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in both Arizona and Nevada and holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from The Master’s University in Santa Clarita, Calif.
Erik Bakken
Senior Vice President of Energy Resources and Chief Sustainability Officer
Erik joined TEP as a Corporate Counsel in 2000 after earning a bachelor’s degree in political science from Arizona State University and a juris doctorate from the University of Arizona. He advanced through management positions in Land Resources and Environmental Services and was promoted to Senior Director of Transmission & Environmental Services in 2014. He was promoted to Vice President of Transmission & Distribution Planning and Environmental in 2018 before taking on expanded responsibilities in his current role.
Dallas Dukes
Vice President, Customer Experience, Programs and Pricing
Dallas joined TEP in 2004 as Director of Corporate Accounting after serving as Divisional Controller for Citizens Gas & Coke Utility (now Citizens Energy Group) in Indianapolis. He became Director of Rates and Revenue Requirements in 2005 and was later promoted to Senior Director in that role, eventually assuming oversight of new programs and services, customer services and analytics, renewable energy and energy efficiency programs. He was promoted to Vice President in 2019. Dallas is a Certified Public Accountant and earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Indiana University and an MBA from Anderson University.
Cynthia Garcia
Chief Information Officer and Vice President of Energy Delivery and Safety
Cynthia oversees and aligns information and operations technologies that play a pivotal role in supporting the future modernized grid. Cynthia worked as the division controller for a software development company before joining TEP in 2000. After starting as a Lead Accountant, she became a T&D supervisor and project manager, leading teams that delivered large-scale line construction projects. She advanced through T&D leadership roles that expanded her responsibilities before being promoted to Vice President of Energy Delivery in January 2020. She was appointed to Chief Information Officer and Vice President of Engineering and Safety in May 2022 and then to her current role in July 2023. Cynthia earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from the University of Arizona.
Todd C. Hixon
Senior Vice President, Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary
Todd joined TEP as a corporate counsel in 1998 after three years in private practice. He rose through leadership positions in the Legal Services Department and served as general counsel for Millennium Energy Holdings, a UNS Energy subsidiary that has overseen unregulated investments. Todd was named Associate General Counsel of UniSource Energy in 2010, and was promoted to Vice President and General Counsel the following year. He has a bachelor’s degree in architecture and earned a juris doctorate from the University of Arizona.
Frank P. Marino
Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Frank became Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in 2019, having previously served as Vice President and CFO. Before joining TEP in 2013, Frank was a Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the wind and solar businesses of the AES Corporation, a global power company. Frank is a Certified Public Accountant and has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the State University of New York and an MBA from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
Terry Nay
Vice President of Energy Resources
Terry oversees power generation as part of our work to provide safe, reliable service. Recognized as a collaborative and results-oriented leader with a strong strategic focus, Terry joined the company in 2008 as Manager of Corporate Safety. He was appointed to Senior Director of UNS Electric and Corporate Safety in 2012. Terry assumed leadership of TEP Field Operations and UniSource Energy Services in 2021. Terry was appointed to Vice President of Field Operations in May 2022 and to his current role as Vice President of Energy Resources in July 2023. He holds a master’s degree in business administration.
Chris Norman
Vice President, Public Policy and Corporate Strategy
Chris joined TEP in 2001 as a Senior Analyst, assuming increasingly complex roles in Investor Relations and Regulatory Services. He served as Director of Regulatory Services and Chief of Staff to the Chief Executive Officer from 2017 to 2019, before being promoted to Senior Director in 2020 and Vice President in 2022. He as a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Nebraska and holds an MBA from the University of Arizona.
Michael Sheehan
Vice President of Resource Planning, Fuels and Wholesale Marketing
Michael came to TEP in 1993 as an Information Services Specialist. He transitioned to Energy Settlements in 1998, where he worked as an analyst before being promoted to Manager of Resource Planning in 2001. Mike was promoted to Director of Resource Planning in 2010, and then to Senior Director of Fuels and Resource Planning in 2015. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems from the University of Arizona.
Amy Welander
Vice President, General Counsel and Assistant Corporate Secretary
Amy joined TEP in 2008 as in-house regulatory counsel, focusing on a variety of federal regulatory matters and transactions, including compliance with Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) regulation. She became Assistant General Counsel, Federal Regulation & Compliance in 2014 and was promoted to Senior Director and Assistant Corporate Secretary for UNS Energy Corporation in 2020. Amy earned both a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance from the University of Arizona and a juris doctorate from the Arizona State University. She worked as an associate at Lewis & Roca before joining TEP.
Gail Zody-Serbia
Vice President of Human Resources
Gail was named Vice President of Human Resources in 2022. She previously served as Human Resources Director for Southwest Gas and held leadership roles at Sierra Nevada Corporation, L3 Technologies and Securitas Security Services. She holds an MBA from Western International University in Phoenix and a bachelor’s degree in Sociology/Political Science from Northern Arizona University.
Martha B. Pritz
Treasurer
Since joining TEP in 1999, Martha has held various leadership roles in financial planning, treasury services and capital resources before assuming her current role as Senior Director of Financial Planning and Analysis. She previously held positions with Huck International, Inc. and Total Petroleum, Inc. Martha is a CFA charterholder with a bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of Colorado-Boulder and a master’s in finance from the University of Colorado-Denver.
