Fort Huachuca Phase II
Solar | Sierra Vista, AZ
This 5 megawatt (MW) array, completed in January 2017, helps the U.S. Army achieve its renewable energy and energy security goals. The system produces enough power to satisfy the annual electric usage of about 1,000 homes. TEP worked closely with leaders at the base, the Pentagon and the U.S. Army's Office of Energy Initiatives (OEI) to develop this innovative solar project, an expansion of an existing 17.2 MW system at the base.
